What should you blog about?

So I’m running a blog forum and also on my Frog Engine Forum I have a blog section. I also run the Blog Party Network and its http://www.blogparty.net/work Blog. I get a lot of comments from people when I ask them if they blog, such as

1) I don’t have time.
2) I don’t know what to blog about.
3) I don’t know how to set up a blog.

Here are some of my responses:

1) You don’t need to be perfect when you blog. Make 2-3 entries daily, write naturally and don’t stress too much about how you write.
2) Your area of expertise - that is the key! Don’t try to copy anyone else. Be you! Shine your light. Don’t ever let someone else discourage you. If you know what you’re talking about, then this is your shot. Blogs need to just happen. Don’t over-analyze … just be you and let it all hang out.
3) Visit my forum and ask people how :)

Oh, and then submit to Business Blogs .ORG

The truth about SEO

If you really want to learn about seo, here is my advice:

1) Don’t ask for advice until you have pacific questions (those who know stuff don’t have a lot of time)
2) Read: Search Engine Watch, Matt’s Blog, Skillz to pay the bills
3) Interact: Digital Point and v7n

If you want to just learn a little bit, you may try SE Roundtable and SEO Moz, but don’t expect too much.

For adsense info you should read Jensense and various threads on Digital point.

If you find out something you didn’t know before, go to Frog Engine and share it :)

Google does NOT have to reveal its Search Queries, Judge ordered

This just in and courtesy of Google Blog:

Google will not have to hand over any user’s search queries to the government. That’s what a federal judge ruled today when he decided to drastically limit a subpoena issued to Google by the Department of Justice.

Get on the roll!

So there are quite a few theories about linking. How many outgoing links should you have, who should link to you and how, what part of your site should you link from …

How tiring. I say link as you feel. Just go for it. Did you know that some of the highest ranking blogs have 100s of outgoing links on their blogroll? It’s natural for bloggers to network so well, they wind up with 100s of friends. Like the friends’ lists on MySpace, only with serious blogs.

So if you feel like rolling, go here or here and introduce your blog.
